Way to Property
Techo International Airport, which replaced the old Phnom Penh airport for commercial flights in 2025, lies about twenty seven kilometres away, around thirty five minutes by car outside rush hour. The hotel's shuttle runs twenty four hours for a fee. Checking flight terminal information is wise, as some older guides still refer to the previous airport.
Grab and PassApp are the most practical ways to get around Phnom Penh, offering fixed prices for cars and remorks, the local tuk tuks. Fares are inexpensive, and drivers rarely speak English, so having the destination on the app helps. Street tuk tuks require negotiation.
City buses run on main routes, including along Veng Sreng toward the centre. They are cheap and air conditioned but slow in traffic. For visitors with luggage, taxis are easier.
The Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville Expressway, accessible from the southern ring road, connects the capital with the coast in about two and a half hours. It offers easy access to Kampot, Kep and the islands for weekend trips. Tolls are charged.
Long distance buses from operators such as Giant Ibis and Mekong Express connect Phnom Penh with Siem Reap in around six hours, as well as with Battambang and Ho Chi Minh City. Buses leave from company offices in the centre, about twenty to thirty minutes from the hotel.
Traffic on Veng Sreng becomes extremely heavy when garment factory shifts start and end. Planning trips outside these hours saves a great deal of time.
For trips to the Royal Palace and the riverfront, leaving early in the morning or after the evening rush is recommended.
